Diablo 4‘s highly anticipated beta has finally arrived, and it has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions for fans. Despite server issues and long queues, the game’s captivating gameplay, stunning aesthetics, and engaging storytelling have left a lasting impression. In this article, we’ll take you through our experience with the Diablo 4 beta, exploring its triumphs, tribulations, and what lies ahead for this beloved franchise.

A dark and gripping world

The developers at Blizzard have gone to great lengths to deliver a darker, more engaging story that has already captivated players within the first few hours of gameplay. The chilling cutscenes, intriguing characters, and mystery surrounding Lilith, the Daughter of Hatred, have breathed new life into the Diablo narrative. This fresh approach to storytelling sets the stage for a compelling experience that promises to keep players hooked.

Gameplay: A familiar yet refreshing experience

Diablo 4’s gameplay strikes a balance between staying true to the series’ roots and introducing new elements to keep it fresh. Borrowing ideas from games like Lost Ark, the beta showcases a plethora of activities ranging from public events to large dungeons and intricate strongholds. Character customization and the variety of builds available add depth to the gameplay, making for an addictive experience that keeps players coming back for more.

The Struggle: server woes and long queues

Unfortunately, the Diablo 4 beta hasn’t been all smooth sailing. The server issues and long queues have been a significant source of frustration for players, many of whom have only managed to play for short periods before being disconnected. Blizzard has been working on addressing these problems, but it remains to be seen how much improvement will be made before the game’s full release.

Everything looks solid, but there’s a lot more coming

Yes, both content and more players are coming, which could demonstrate a totality… an elimination of the servers. It has been the only heartbreaking issue that’s been permanent throughout the beta. Despite the challenges faced during the beta, Diablo 4’s potential for success is undeniable. The combination of captivating gameplay, a well-developed story, and the promise of continued innovation make it an exciting prospect for the future. If Blizzard can overcome the server issues and deliver a stable, consistent experience, Diablo 4 is set to become a fan favorite for years to come.

For fans of the Battlefield franchise, the release of Battlefield 2042 was a highly anticipated event. Unfortunately, the game’s launch was plagued by bugs and design changes that left many players feeling disappointed and frustrated. However, over the past couple of seasons, EA DICE has been steadily improving and refining the game. As a result, Battlefield 2042 has become one of the most enjoyable and engaging shooters on the market, and I AM LOVING IT.

One of the most significant changes that have contributed to the game’s success is the reintroduction of classes in the 3.2 patch. This allowed players to choose a more specialized role within their squad and added more variety to the game’s combat mechanics. Additionally, the inclusion of Specialists with unique gadgets and abilities, while still operating within a larger class framework, has allowed for even more variety and customization within the game.

The turnaround

But it’s not just the class system that has improved. EA DICE has continuously added new content to the game, including maps, weapons, and game modes, keeping the game fresh and engaging for players. For example, the recent Season 4 update added a new map, a new specialist, four weapons, and a new light armor tank with approximately eight machine guns strapped to it. With this new content, Battlefield 2042 feels more like it received a major expansion than a simple update.

The game’s battle pass system is also worth mentioning, as it provides an enjoyable progression system for players, and its challenges and goals are a good fit for the game’s style of play. The positive and constructive in-game chat that has emerged within the community is also a good sign that the game’s community has matured and become more supportive and engaging.

It’s impressive to see how much new content and gameplay mechanics have been added to Battlefield 2042 over the past year. These changes have contributed to a more enjoyable and engaging experience for players. While it’s a shame that the development of new content for the game is winding down, the fact that there will be at least one more year of support and additional content is reassuring for fans of the franchise. Regardless, it’s clear that EA DICE has turned things around and made Battlefield 2042 a great game even better.

Everyone should give Battlefield 2042 another chance

If you were one of the players who gave up on Battlefield 2042 at launch due to its issues and frustrations, now is the perfect time to give it another chance. The game has come a long way since its release, with numerous improvements and additions that have made it a much more enjoyable experience. The community has become more positive and engaging, and the recent updates and new content have breathed new life into the game. If you’re a fan of shooters, or if you’ve enjoyed previous entries in the Battlefield franchise, it’s definitely worth giving Battlefield 2042 another shot. You might be surprised at how much it has improved.

Not only the public, but we have also been blown by the creativity and beauty of Atomic Heart. The developer Mundfish is a talented team, and despite the divisive review scores, we are amazed to see a bold and creative adventure with plenty of immersive thrills. With knockout visuals and unique art direction, and stellar gameplay mechanics, Atomic Heart is undoubtedly an unmissable experience.

Honestly speaking, I forgot to go to bed and played throughout the night because of the game’s stunning effects, captivating story, etc. I simply “passed out,” and today I finished the story. I am confident in my writing and can say that the game is more than beautiful. If you’re planning on buying it, prepare for the weirdest and most unique experiences you’ve ever had in gaming. An authentic, crazy “robo-zombie” experience where jump scares do exist!

Remember that Atomic Heart marks the debut of Mundfish, a developer known for its talent and impressive AAA-worthy qualities. While plenty of people believed to see the opposite, they were shocked by its phenomena.

Story

The story itself is something else. We witness the ravaging of fervent robots in a utopian world of wonders and perfection, in which humans fail their attempt to find balance with robots. The world is in danger! Mutant creatures, terrifying machines, and powerful robots are rising against their creators. You as a player, have the power to stop them. Thanks to your experimental power glove granting you special combat skills combined with an arsenal of cutting-edge weapons and blades, you can face off in explosive encounters as you fight for justice – adapting your strategies to every unique opponent while combining resources and upgrading equipment along the way. Your mission: uncover what lies behind this seemingly idealized world, and put an end to whoever brought it here.

The story itself could’ve been a bit longer, and it feels a bit linear. A little diversification could’ve helped and made the game far more approaching.

Graphics

Now, it’s time for the graphics. With high-resolution textures and extra creative models, the game feels more than unique, making it stand out in its category.

The in-game quality depends on what your gaming rig can support and based on your options, but even on low graphics quality, it still looks more than decent. The game features direct and indirect lighting, which depends on the scene, and it’s what adds life to it.

The reflections are breathtaking, which is noticeable since the very start of the game. Playing on PC will grant you the Ray Traced reflections tech, which improves the look of the same, and provides much more accurate reflections in any environment where reflections are present.

The shadows are incredibly sharp and precise, which rendering technique proves worthy of Mundfish’s fingertips. They provide a great touch to the game, especially in closed areas. Everything is fine when you have a smooth and fluid gameplay experience, and the only problem with this game is the FPS bleeds in open-world areas, especially if you’re playing on high quality.

Combat

There’s no good game if its combat is a**. Honestly, having the ability to shuffle through multiple abilities with different talent trees and pick up your favorite build for each occasion is well thought of. I see this as a solid experience with medium to hard combat mechanics. Playing it on a higher difficulty might give you the edge you’re looking for, but if you’re here only for the story, you might not find it as enjoyable.

The game allows you to hear and feel the “meaty” impact of your weapons as you take on enemies, and be sure to time your dodges carefully. Although fast-paced, this combat isn’t for racing. It’s all about outsmarting opponents with strategic timing. Thanks to your glove capabilities, you can curb an incoming attack or, my favorite (kite a bunch of mobs and then telekinesis and smash the s*** out of them).

Exploration

The exploration side is weak, as outdoor areas are less fun. Despite what the game offers in outside areas, the more exciting action happens inside. The camera system makes it less entertaining, meaning you must be on the lookout for cameras 24/7 just to dodge an enemy swarm out of nowhere. Other than that, inside areas look fun, unique, and exciting.

Conclusion

Overall, the game has plenty of content, and collecting all the weapon blueprints might be challenging but tiring. Its glove abilities and upgrade mechanics give you certain control over your character. If you want to follow the main story, do not expect to be tinkering with all the weapons in the game unless you want to divert the narrative-driven instructions and wander off on your own.

Today, with the embargo going down, players worldwide can finally witness the grades left by those who had access to Atomic Heart – Mundfish’s wild and controversial sci-fi game. Though it has its share of detractors, gamers have weighed in on their verdict. The result? While not a tour de force by any means, this oddball shooter is quite acceptable for what you get. So, go ahead and give it a try if you’re feeling adventurous.

With the launch of new consoles, gamers have been eagerly awaiting reviews to see where each platform stands. Though none broke into GOTY-level scores (90+), all are sitting comfortably in what could be considered ‘fine’ territory. Metacritic has given PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC an average rating of 75.

Since always, developers would like to see grades from 75 and above, which is precisely what Atomic Heart has been getting. However, other gaming outlets that have had the opportunity to delve into this explosive shooter have had different review grades, so let’s look at them below.

It’s no secret that the opinions given by some outlets have not been weighed the same. Sadly, we haven’t experienced it firsthand, but we’ll try it once it releases. Either way, the attention drawing players to this has been because of its faceless Soviet robots that have been all over trailers, and should you love these types of NPCs on your screen or weirdly demolish them, this might be your type of game.

In a mad and sublime utopian world, take part in explosive encounters. Adapt your fighting style to each opponent, use your environment, and upgrade your equipment to fulfill your mission. If you want to reach the truth, you’ll have to pay in blood.

If you’re not familiar with SMITE, it’s a popular MOBA game developed and published by Titan Forge Games, in which mythological deities fight it out on an epic battleground. Unlike most MOBAs, SMITE has third-person gameplay, making it pretty unique.

With Season 8 releasing some time ago, a new Conquest map was released. The Conquest game mode is SMITE’s traditional 5v5 arena with 3 lanes and a huge jungle.

The new Conquest map follows a Greek-Babylonian theme with the release of the Babylonian Chaos Goddess Tiamat coming soon. Honestly, as an avid SMITE player, the new map makes Conquest better looking and more fun than it ever was.

On the visual aspect, the map is amazing, mixing elements from different mythologies, but mostly Greek and Babylonian. The old Chaos Titan was also replaced with a new animal hybrid looking entity. Throughout the map, Scorpions, which are a new jungle camp, were also added. The new map also makes the lanes a bit wider, especially the Middle Lane, which in my opinion makes team fights more open and overall more fun.

On the gameplay aspect, it’s even better. With the new starter items, SMITE gives you a lot of variety on your build and in general makes your early game more fun. The Scorpions which we previously mentioned are also an amazing addition to the gameplay aspect, serving as bonus gold and bonus lane sustain, along with an enhancement for your other buffs. The Scorpions scattered throughout the Duo and Solo lane give you bonus healing in a radius, while the ones in the Jungle enhance each side’s jungle camps to give bonus stats.

My only flaw with this map is the gates located near the phoenixes that just feel a bit odd in my opinion. I don’t really dislike them but I don’t really like them either.

If you’ve never really got into Conquest, now is the best time to do it. With a fresh new map and an MMR reset, you can start learning and enjoying this fun game mode just like almost everyone. After playing a lot of SMITE Season 8 for the past week, I can assure you that.

Dog Duty is an indie real-time strategy video game developed by Zanardi and Liza and published by SOEDESCO. Now, from where shall we start?! Oh, yeah, right from the beginning. Keep in mind that this writing is a work in progress, and we tend to add something we’ve missed. We’re working on it, okay?

Dog Duty is a top-down real-time action game in which you, as a tactical mastermind, need to destroy the evil Octopus Commander and his army. Their intentions are quite harsh, and they want to take over the earth. On the opposite side, you have a squad of three characters at your disposal, which is there to stop the evil from accomplishing its mission.

We’ve got the PS4 version recently, and to be honest, we think this is one of the few indie games that will reach the sky. Why is that, you may ask?! Well, keep on reading, and everything will become clear for you.

So, you find yourself locked up in some God forgotten place, and you must save your mates from the prison in Octopia. Yeah, that’s all cool and stuff, but how do you get out of the prison cell? Well, while trying to figure it out, a guard comes in and gives you a cake…and guess what’s in the cake? Flour, sugar, eggs, butter, and most importantly, a KEY and a SHOTGUN!

You are now out of your prison cell, holding a rifle, and you rush to destroy the Octo-army and save your two mates. First, you save the Red Riding Hood guy and Romeo, as you continue on your journey after.

Character-wise, there are eight playable characters in total. They’re all at players’ disposal as they progress through the journey. Each of these characters has its skills, which can be quite handy when in battle:

  1. One can heal himself faster.
  2. The second can get closer to the foes and destroy them easily.
  3. The last one can use “Rage” and fire his weapon like a maniac while heals himself.
  4. We’re not going to spoil the other characters’ skills, so good luck on your journey!

NOTE: If knocked-down, one of the other characters can bring you back up!

Now, your three-person Octo-scum-destroyers-squad escapes the Detention camp with a military vehicle and goes on a journey to disable the Capitals defenses and eliminate the Evil Octopus Commander.

As you hop onto the vehicle, you can now see the map with four different areas/islands:

  1. The River – you’ll travel on a boat.
  2. The Desert – you’ll use the military truck.
  3. The Swamp – you’ll use a Hovercraft.
  4. The Capital

There are enemy outposts in each area in which one must destroy and conquer the enemy’s “fortresses” and eliminate the bosses.

The enemy is loaded with machine guns, flamethrowers, bazookas, and whatnot, so you might want to gather coins and upgrade your weapons and vehicle from the “Sale Shop.” You can find various weapons, and you can also repair your damaged vehicle here.

For last, this is one of the many reasons I recommend this game – the HUMOR! Damn, hats off to the guy who was creative enough and made those dialogues. Trust me; you don’t want to skip those dialogues. It will make you laugh.

Legends say there is free Wi-Fi somewhere in Octopia!

Here are some screenshots.

Dog Duty will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam on September 17, publisher Soedesco and developer Zanardi and Liza. The PC version has been in Early Access on Steam since August 2019.

This is my take and review on the most famed game from CD Projekt Red, and of course, you already know about which one I am talking about, it’s the Witcher 3.

First of all, before we get into this half-ass review of mine I wanna say that I am a complete lover for these types of games. And with that, I wanna get to my first point.

  1. The setting in which it is played out. For anybody that has watched, read, or played something of The Witcher franchise you would know that it is based around the medieval ages. And that is where my initial love came for this game and franchise. I also love The Elder Scrolls franchise of games which explains my love for the setting.
  2. The music in the game. As stated before I love the TES franchise and their games are riddled with amazing music. And the music in The Witcher 3 is nothing short of amazing music as well. My first personal favorite one is “The Fields of Ard Skellig.” When I first heard it, I was teary-eyed from the sheer beautifulness of the singing, and the warm feeling I got from the instruments. The other personal best song is “Another Round for Everyone,” a song played in taverns that you can point out by the title. Now don’t get me wrong I am not saying that the others are worse it’s just that these are the most captivating.
  3. The story. I just can not stress this enough but the story of The Witcher 3 is just magnificent. Even though I haven’t played nor read the books I still found the story amazing. Now of course if you had previous knowledge the game would have been even better. That is why I am pretty sad about not reading the books and playing the games chronologically till The Witcher 3. Well, nonetheless it was still an amazing story.
  4. The world. Even though I had lag while in Novigrad it was still worth it. Seeing a highly populated city with city music and tavern music and everything else just makes me feel tingly inside. The only thing I hate about Skyrim is that the population in cities is just too small, and The Witcher 3 fixes that with having a slider in the settings with how much background characters you can have on your screen. I had that on the max setting which was Ultra I think and I loved the ambiance in the cities, it felt like you were actually in a city.

Now let’s get to the points that I was not so happy with, and get ready to be angry at me because of these.

  1. RPG elements. Well, let’s just get on with it. I am not a fan of RPG elements in a game where you already play as a character that has preexisted in other games, books, series, etc. The reason for that is because you already know how the character dresses, acts, his personality, etc. So for Geralt to do some evil choices is just illogical. Another thing is how can you dress the White Wolf into Cat School gear? Or how can you have Geralt have the hairstyle of a 14-year-old anime main character? These things just don’t go well with the feeling of the game in my opinion. You shouldn’t have that much freedom in a game where you already know the character.
  2. Open world.” Yup, I said this game is not an open world by my standards. For example, we will take Skyrim which is also an open-world game. In Skyrim, if you want to you can go to Riften and completely ignore the main story. Well in Witcher that is not the case because of leveled zones. You can not go to Skellige because it is a too high-level place for you. And believe me, I have tried to not do the main quest at all and it is impossible. The main source of EXP is the main quest. So I tried doing nothing but side missions, and let’s say that was really really slow for a level up. After playing the main quest after hours and hours of side quests I felt like I was speedrunning the game with the level-ups. I played 2 quests from the main quest line and I leveled up instantly. To put in-to comparison I would have needed to do 5-6 witcher contracts probably for a level up. So in my book, The Witcher 3 is pretty linear.
  3. The sheer easiness of the game. The game is just way too easy. I played the game on Shattered Bones and then afterwords on Death March and the game is just way too easy. I am a man that comes from Dark Souls 3 so I do want a pretty difficult game to play, and sadly The Witcher 3 doesn’t deliver in that regard. Now of course I am probably the only one that thinks like this but hey I’m just sharing my opinion.

And that is kinds it about my honest review on The Witcher 3. Now I know I will be getting some hate from my bad points. And just to clarify I didn’t mention Gwent at all because I didn’t play it at all in my 80 hours first playthrough, yeah I know I’m missing out. But this is just my opinion and no one else has said it so I kinda felt the need to make this review.

Anywho, I think that The Witcher 3 is a perfect game for anybody that plays or even doesn’t play games and wants to get into the gaming scene. And just to remind you that in this game you can get sidetracked a lot, so don’t forget you are actually searching for your daughter. Safe hunting Witcher!

Have you ever suppressed your feelings when you played a video game? Have you ever had the urge to yell, swear, and maybe curse the players that are trying to ruin the gameplay experience for you? Well, we believe that even if you haven’t experienced such “treachery,” trying Fall Guys will ignite your inner beast.

Fall Guys is a ghastly tackle on the Battle Royale genre, and Mediatonic has done an exceptional job working on it. While it may also apply the last-man-standing philosophy, players are given a chance to progress throughout several game modes, which as a mechanic, is there to keep the entertainment bubble engraved in player’s minds. It doesn’t matter if your performance is terrible; everything is fine as long as you qualify.

Why is Fall Guys Good when played with friends or relatives?

A game heartily enjoyed when played with friends, family, or even with your worst enemy. Once you’re in a game together, all of your problems are gone, and everything you focus on is winning. Wait, did I say winning? Sorry, I meant making the gameplay experience of others freaking hellish. Its grab mechanic is hilarious. That is pretty much where the source of fun is hiding, and trolling is just a part of Fall Guys. Probably the best part of the game if you ask me.

I genuinely thank Devolver Digital and Mediatonic for making this game possible. The moment Fall Guys was released, it brought me such joy, not only to me but my whole family. We’re having a blast playing this game, and we believe it will remain in our focus for a more extended period.

I would address this article as a review, without even trying to satisfy the game performance because it’s flawless. Yes, it may have been a couple of hiccups at launch, but with its popularity, that’s completely understandable. If you’re disappointed or sense that depression is eating you slowly, do yourself a favor and spend a couple of bucks on this game, you won’t regret it.

I was thinking about doing a review, but then I changed my mind. Simply because Valorant is more than just a game that needs to be thoroughly reviewed, and at this point in Closed Beta, we can only speculate what the future holds. Therefore, we collectively decided to give this game the proper coverage, and we’re open to critics. So knock yourself out in the comments if you feel something needs an adequate address.

Having multiple characters with different sets of abilities in a first-person shooter game video games surely scales the learning curve. Like in other games, the predefined meta showcased on Twitch streams, and other Youtube gaming phenomenons will most probably fade away as time goes by. That would perhaps define the professionalism or state when the game is ready to tremble into the E-Sports scene.

Riot Games is most definitely taking the right approach with all the assets, from the game’s development to the potential spikes of cosmetic appearances. A solid perspective on the matter, at least that’s what they had showcased in the previous couple of days.

Chit Chat

Now, for a game that’s in Closed Alpha, what do you preliminary review? The graphics, the audio, or the gameplay itself? There’s a lot to talk about, and believe it or not; we’ll talk about that very soon. What fascinates me the most is something completely different but still contributes to a tremendous competitive factor.

Now let’s begin with how exactly is Valorant a first-person tactical shooter that’s somewhat combined from Overwatch and CS: GO (as most of you think of). Being a CS 1.6 professional player and then slowly traversing to CS: GO for a couple of months before I entirely quit the competitive scene, I can personally say that the recoil pattern between the two is quite similar. Hence, why CS: GO players (aiming wise) are much more successful than others in Valorant. That is most probably about to stay the same way.

I might be found weird or anything, but I have tried Overwatch once (not my type of game), which gave me mixed indications about Valorant as well. Or at least until I tried it (thanks to Riot Games for allowing me to). After a couple of games in Valorant, I was able to feel the adrenaline, increased heartbeats, and many other contributing factors that led me to a conclusion – “Valorant is a sick game.”

But that’s not how you define any game’s success. Instead, multiple leads are necessary for you to confirm if a game is entertaining. For that reason, we had to prolong this writing for a couple of more days and delve into Valorant a bit deeper before we state our opinion.

Audio and Graphics

Now, unlike other reviews and whatnot, I do not want to include graphics and sound into this. I just want to state that both of them include a very satisfactory level. Especially the audio, where Riot Games tuned footsteps (probably the most essential part in the game, competitive-wise) correctly. Again, for a closed-beta, this is huge.

For that reason, we would love to focus more on the core features of the game, rather than stay blinded and follow the scripts. The title says, Revolutionary? You’re probably asking yourself why it is Valorant revolutionary before all. Well, the following part would probably be the most substantial part of the article, because it holds our accurate briefing on the game and its competitors.

128 Tick Servers – Performance

If you’ve played Valorant, you probably already noticed that a HEADSHOT is a HEADSHOT, no matter what. In other words, if you target your opponent’s head and you click your left mouse button confirming that the trigger occurred while the crosshair was on his head, that ladies and gents, in Valorant, is a clear headshot. Hit reg is not an issue, at least hasn’t been for the past two days for me. Yes, having 128 tick servers is why Valorant is the most surprising title in the FPS genre right now, while other video games are still missing that.

Years after release, CS: GO is still without official 128 tick servers, which already makes CS: GO uncomparable to Valorant, even if the game is here for a couple of days. That is how Riot Games cares for its community, and that is how every single player is susceptible to his skills. An incentive that distinct good players from bad players and make the game feel (rewarding/demoting) for each player input. It is one of a kind. I know, right?

Like, I could write a million words about Valorant, and each one of them will not hold a single wrong note. It’s simple as that. That’s why I wanted this to be somewhat a plain review, explaining a couple of things why the game is excellent. I do not care about anything else than a competitive, first-person shooter that’s as closest to CS: GO, but very distant at the same time.

Having characters with abilities spices the entertainment level, while the core shooting mechanic remains as the most important to pay attention to. Relying on your aiming skills is still what you should be doing, rather than trying to outsmart an opponent by using your abilities (yes, it can be done). In both ways, the game is rewarding for whatever you do.

Characters

Now, let’s jump to the characters. Each character has a unique set of abilities that give benefit to the players. Some of them team-wide beneficial, others more selfish. Some of them over-tuned, others under-tuned, it brings a diversified playing field.

Having an extensive list of characters (with more of them coming in the future), Valorant is a perfectly balanced game, except for one character for which we can all agree is kind of broken, and that is Raze. Raze’s abilities are all damage dealers, while some could also be used as a utility. Not to mention the ultimate… a devastating RPG blow that can destroy pretty much a whole team.

Other characters have just the right tune to their abilities. As we said, some of them are beneficial for the party, others useful for the imbiber itself. It somewhat brings balance between them and assigns to why Valorant is a 5v5 shooter.

Overall, it has everything a 5v5 first-person shooter game needs to have, and I am very passionate about it. I’d give a 10/10 (considering it is in closed beta), and I do not usually do that.

That’s everything I have to say about Valorant at this time. I’d personally not consider it as a review. I’ve done this in one breath, so if I am missing something, please let me know in the comments below. I will be back with more info, but currently, you can find me stuck in Valorant, trying to improve while also thoroughly learn every character. See you in-game!

If you believe that the VR world is decimating, think twice. Half-Life: Alyx is finally out, as the world is shackled by the dark mysteries that are surrounding the Coronavirus. This may be a perfect addition to those who are seeking for entertainment, and we’re here to help you decide on whether or not you should delve into the fun. Being a VR title may require an extra piece of technology, but the title itself is more than satisfying to play.

This survival-horror game, a revival of the famous franchise, has proven to me that VR games can be extraordinary. Completing the game is far from done, and since I am personally not used to VR, I have to take a break. Therefore, I’d consider this as a review in progress rather than anything else.

Gunfight, Modding, Power

However, from weapon modifications to magical elements or wizardry, Half-Life: Alyx brings a ton to the party. Your supergravity gloves have all the power you need to replicate some sort of extraterrestrial source or be inhumanly advanced. This provides you with the possibility to pull or drag objects the way you want. But the most exciting part is that you have to catch whenever you pull something towards you.

Now, since we’ve spoken about weapon modifications, let’s tackle a bit on the gunfights. For a first-person game, it feels like the aim down sights is just perfectly calibrated without any additional input by the player, which confirms the integrity of the developers (Valve) and the work they’ve put into this VR game.

As you’re tackling the necrotic interferences throughout the game, you can modify your weapons so you can deal with them easier. Killing Monsters in Half-Life is nothing new, and having the power to alter the weapon per your requirements feels just right. Despite the low amount of firearms, you can still enhance each one of them to satisfy your needs. With gun-modding right beside you, it adds some sort of character progression that has usually not been a thing in the previous series.

Puzzles

Yes, there is a substantial amount of them. Puzzles and locked doors are just another mild interference for those who seek a straightforward journey. Locked doors are the most intriguing ones if you ask me personally, as you need to replicate the given format of the projection while using the VR controllers. Not going to lie, seems quite challenging to master.

Environment

What makes this game unique is the power of Half-Life. Yes, you heard me well. The atmosphere, just as advanced with today’s technology, somewhat brings a vibe of the predecessor in Alyx. Each piece has its unique design, and all of the missions you’re on a path of completion feel novel. You will never contact boredom within.

Conclusion

Let’s keep it short. For all of the Half-Life supporters, Half-Life: Alyx is more than worth trying. So, if you can afford this VR experience, you should go for it. Especially now that most of us are probably suffering from self-isolation and are on the bring of going nuts. Despite the substantial hardware requirements, Half-Life: Alyx’s content is rather peculiar than just any kind of repeat.
