The Test Run Part 1
Part 1 quest image

Part 1 Dialogue

Finally! Our first Laser Drill is fully operational, and you get to test it! Locate a Letium vent, plant a beacon, and operate the platform. Return to me once you have our prize!

Objectives

  • Find a Letium Gas Vent
  • Deliver 10 Flaked Letium

Rewards

  • 3600 FP
  • x214 Korolev Scrip
  • x24000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Flaked Letium can be gathered only from Letium Gas Vent, which requires a Laser Drill Beacon for its drilling activation.

Ok, so now that we have the Laser Drill Beacon from the previous quest and have also unlocked the crafting of the same, we can drill the big Letium Gas Vents. Maybe you have already met these Green Gas Vents. They can only be farmed by using a Laser Drill Beacon. After their activation, a Big Drill Ship will land on top of the Letium Gas Vent. After its landing, you need to go inside, head on the top floor and start the mining process from the console. After the drilling is finished, collect the farmed materials from the bins. Check the image below.

Letium Gas Vent Drill Ship Crescent Falls
Letium Gas Vent Drill Ship Crescent Falls

After you call down the laser drill, hop inside, activate the drill from the console, and wait for it to finish. Then, collect the loot from the bins. There are multiple of them on the ship. That’s the only way you get 10 Flaked Letium. Check the image below so you know how they look.

Heavy Construction is a quest in The Cycle: Frontier. The quest is given by Vadim Tanayev – Head of Operations for Korolev on Fortuna III. It consists of 9 different parts. All of them are included below.

The Cycle Frontier “Heavy Construction” Quest Details

Heavy Construction Quest Image
Quest image

General Quest Dialogue

Time to build a machine capable of safely (well, relatively) extracting and processing Flaked Letium from the surface. Fortunately Korolev used to operate Mobile Mining Platforms, giant laser drills that would float through the peaceful skies of Fortuna III in search of mineral veins to exploit.

The days those things could be safely operated are long gone, but they’re just the thing we need now to mine for Letium, with some assistance on the ground.

Final Rewards

  • 1x Laser Drill Beacon

Heavy Construction Part 1
Part 1 quest image

Part 1 Dialogue

Extracting Letium from the surface will require heavy machinery. Heavy, durable, machinery, like the old Veltecite Laser Drills. Get us these materials, Prospector, and we can begin crafting a good frame for our new drilling platform.

Objectives

  • Deliver 20 Compound Sheets
  • Deliver 15 Alloys
  • Deliver 5 Smart Mesh

Rewards

  • 1800 FP
  • x87 Korolev Scrip
  • x18000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Compound sheets can be found in industrial cratescivilian lockers but also as a static spawn across the whole map.
  • Alloys can be found in Dumpsters and Industrial crates, but also as a static spawn in industrial areas.
  • Smart Mesh is a rare spawn and can be located in higher danger zones. Starport Warehouse on Crescent Falls is one of them (on the racks), but Bright Sands also has it, in the Jungle and the Crashed Ship. Can also be found in Industrial Crates and Dumpsters, but also as a static spawn in some industrial areas.
Heavy Construction Part 2
Part 2 quest image

Part 2 Dialogue

There’s no point in reinventing the wheel! Head out to the crashed Laser Drill on Bright Sands, there should still be some tech we can salvage to use for our prototype drill, it would save us a lot of time… and money.

Objectives

  • Visit the Crashed Drill
  • Find the Old Drill Head
  • Deliver 1 Laser Drill Control Unit

Rewards

  • 2300 FP
  • x117 Korolev Scrip
  • x20000 Krypto Marks

Guide

This whole quest is related to and happens on Bright Sands. The Crashed Drill, Old Drill Head, and Laser Drill Control Unit are located at the Crashed Drill Site. For a better explanation, check the image below:

Heavy Construction Part 2 Guide

Part 3 Dialogue

Something different this time… We need efficiency data on Shotgun style weapons to help improve our own. This shouldn’t take you long, I hope.

Objectives

  • Eliminate 6 Prospectors using a Shotgun
  • Hunt 25 Striders using a Shotgun

Rewards

  • 2300 FP
  • x1 Purple Helmet
  • x117 Korolev Scrip

The quest is simple. You need to eliminate 6 enemy players and kill 25 Striders using a Shotgun. Eligible weapons for this quest are:

  • B9 Trenchgun
  • PKR Malestrom
  • Shattergun
Heavy Construction Part 4
Part 4 quest image

Part 4 Dialogue

Our hunt for parts continues. Ordering these off the market would take forever, and attract too much attention. Thankfully, we have you!

Objectives

  • Deliver 10 Magnetic Field Stabilizers
  • Deliver 10 Circuit Boards
  • Deliver 5 Multitools

Rewards

  • 2300 FP
  • x117 Korolev Scrip

  • Circuit Boards can be found in Briefcases, Luggage, and as a static spawn across technologically advanced rooms and areas (racks, decks next to PCs, chairs, etc.).
  • Multitools are quite tough to find, and they can spawn more frequently in crowded higher danger areas. You can find them around the Dig Site and the Crashed Ship on Bright Sands, and on racks inside the Starport Warehouse on Crescent Falls.
Heavy Construction Part 5
Part 5 quest image

Part 5 Dialogue

“Our osiris friend” is expecting another payment to continue their services. See that they get what they want.

Objectives

  • Stash 3 Pure Focus Crystals at Pinnacle Labs
  • Stash 1 Pure Veltecite at Pinnacle Labs

Rewards

  • 1200 FP
  • x48 Korolev Scrip
  • x15000 Krypto Marks

Guide

This is another Dead Drop mission and you need to bring those items with you if you have no intentions of finding them in the same raid. The quest happens at the same location, which is Pinnacle Labs on Crescent Falls. Below you can find the Dead Drop location.

Pinnacle Labs Dead Drop
Pinnacle Labs Dead Drop Location
  • Pure Focus Crystals can be mined from Focus Veins. The Veins have blue/green sparkles and are easy to distinguish. The color of the Pure Focus Crystals is green and their spawn is quite rarer than the normal Focus Crystals.
  • Pure Veltecite can be mined from Veltecite Veins that can be found around waterfalls or water in general. Modded Mineral Scanner can help you find the nodes easier.
  • Then just hunt 15 Creatures at Pinnacle Labs.
Heavy Construction Part 6
Part 6 quest image

Part 6 Dialogue

Our team made it back home! It will be a while before they can get back to work… why not take some time and let everyone Korolev is still king of the hill?

Objectives

  • Deliver 1 Gyroscope
  • Deliver 5 Miniature Reactors
  • Deliver 15 Copper Wire

Rewards

  • 3600 FP
  • x214 Korolev Scrip
  • x24000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Gyroscopes can be found in Cabinets. They can spawn inside the Crashed Ship.
  • Copper Wires can be found in Dumpsters and as static spawns laying on the ground. A common spot for farming these is at the Science Campus on Bright Sands, as that’s a big industrial area.
  • Miniature Reactors are a rare spawn. They can be easily found in Storage Boxes (The Cycle Storage Box). The best way to get these is by doing the Puzzles (power conduits), as the rooms have a guaranteed Storage Box. There’s one at the Water Facility on and East Collection Site on Bright Sands. There’s also one at the Skeleton Observation Site on Crescent Falls. Basically said, whenever you need this item and you see a Puzzle in some POI, then just try to figure it out. It guarantees a Miniature Reactor inside the Storage Box in the room. Check the image below to see how the puzzles look like:

    • Veltecite Hearts are mined from Veltecite Veins, and their drop chance is super rare. Good luck getting some.
    • Old Currency can mostly be found in Jackets, Briefcases and Safes.
Heavy Construction Part 8
Part 8 quest image

Part 8 Dialogue

We have to hold on our efforts, Osiris suspects we’re to blame for one of their top people suddenly quitting. I imagine they’ll ease off if they see your efforts on the planet are purely unscientific.

Objectives

  • Eliminate 10 Prospectors

Rewards

  • 3600 FP
  • x214 Korolev Scrip
  • x20000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • The quest is pretty straightforward, and it requires you to eliminate 10 enemy players using any weapon.

Objectives

  • Deliver 2 Meteor Cores

Rewards

  • 3600 FP
  • x214 Korolev Scrip
  • x24000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • You need to deliver 2 Meteor Cores, available from Meteor Showers, an event that occurs once every day/night cycle. The Cores can be mined from the big Meteors, which is one per shower. More info on that can be found below:

General Quest Dialogue

A lot of questions remain about how to stabilize Letium for safe and easy exploitation; with what’s already been recovered and studied, Letium could be used not just to refine Veltecite, but to trigger all sorts of other reactions in more common materials.

Help Korolev with what they need and their discoveries might even surpass the brains at Osiris!

  • Rattler Skins can be looted from dead Rattlers.
  • The last part is to find and deliver Portable Lab. Portable Lab can be found in Briefcases and in Medical Areas. I also believe it has a chance to spawn in Cabinets, so make sure you loot them. Reasonably, it should have a slightly higher spawn rate on Crescent Falls. But can also be found in the north area on Bright Sands, such as the Crashed Ship. Sometimes you’ll even find it laying on the ground.
Research Costs Part 2
Part 2 quest image

  • Data Drives can be purchased from the ICA in their common variant, but also found at the Comms Base, and then slotted and upgraded at an in-raid uplink terminal. Each upgrade brings it to a higher-quality variant. Once the station finishes with the download, the Data Drive is upgraded one variant higher. This step is repeatable, and the Data Drives can be upgraded to their highest legendary variants. In this case, make sure you stop at the “Unique” (Legendary) variant. These sorts of stations can be found at the Comms BaseSouth-East Uplink, and North Uplink, as well as in some places on Crescent Falls. The Upgrade stations or Terminals look like this:
Uplink Station
Uplink or Upgrade Station

The Data Drive upgrade operation can be performed on any station, even on Bright Sands. However, visiting the two places on Crescent Falls is mandatory.

A Powerful Discovery is a quest in The Cycle: Frontier. The quest is given by Vadim Tanayev – Head of Operations for Korolev on Fortuna III. It consists of 7 different parts. All of them are included below.

The Cycle Frontier “A Powerful Discovery” Quest Details

General Quest Dialogue

Stable Letium? It’s an important discovery; the compound has so far only been collected as a volatile, quickly decaying gas, and it’s not exactly safe to handle.

What little has been collected so far revolutionized Veltecite refining, having a stable source of both would be massive… for Korolev’s profits. Definitely worth investigating!

The Missing Engineer is around the caves at the Lakeside Building on Crescent Falls. There’s also an Evidence laying beside him. The last part is that you need to kill 3 mobs around that same area. Well, the sad part is that there are only 3 creatures around that area.

The cave has multiple entrances. We have marked only 2 and included one of them in the close-up images to cut your struggles.

A Powerful Discovery Part 4 quest image

Objectives

  • Deliver 3 Valuable Data Drives

Rewards

  • 600 FP
  • x19 Korolev Scrip
  • x11000 Krypto Marks

Data Drives can be purchased from the ICA in their common variant, but also found at the Comms Base, and then upgraded at an in-raid uplink terminal. Each upgrade brings it to a higher-quality variant. Once the station finishes with the download, the Data Drive is upgraded one variant higher. This step is repeatable, and the Data Drives can be upgraded to their highest legendary variants. In this case, make sure you stop at the “Valuable(Purple) variant. These sorts of stations can be found at the Comms BaseSouth-East Uplink, and North Uplink. The Upgrade stations or Terminals look like this:

The Cycle Frontier “Focussed On Crystals” Quest Details

Focussed on Crystals quest image

General Quest Dialogue

Focus Crystals are a staple in many new electronics, particularly those built in the Fortuna system.

It would be nice if some of those electronics could help with locating them, and with the right materials the techs at Korolev might have just the thing.

Final Rewards

  • x1 Focus Scanning Module

Focussed on Crystals Part 1 quest image
Part 1 quest image

Part 1 Dialogue

We have a new Scanner mod in the works, one that can find Focus Crystals. We’ll need some high purity samples for calibration.

Objectives

  • Deliver 3 Pure Focus Crystals.

Rewards

  • 310 FP
  • x8 Korolev Scrip
  • x8500 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Pure Focus Crystals can be mined from Focus Veins. The Veins have blue/green sparkles and are easy to distinguish. The color of the Pure Focus Crystals is green and their spawn is quite rarer than the normal Focus Crystals.
Pure Focus Crystals color and veins

The quest might sound simple, but these minerals are located in hellish places on both of the maps. They are the most expensive minerals in the game. While Bright Sands does provide Focus Crystals mining nodes, Crescent Falls is a lot richer in these minerals. On Bright Sands, you will have to keep a tight check in the north of the map, around the Jungle, while on Crescent Falls, the nodes are most common the Oasis.

Quest image

General Quest Dialogue

Now that you’re part of the Korolev family, it’s time to put some real work in. Korolev would send down its own teams to retrieve resources, but the planet’s status as “Extremely hazardous to Life” makes that slightly illegal.

Plus, what kind of person would be crazy enough to go down there anyway?

Rewards

  • 130 FP
  • x2 Korolev Scrip

Ah, just the prospector I needed! We needed you to go back to the Dig Site, it seems there are some… matters that need to be handled before those journalists arrive for their tour.
Some of the site’s workers refused to follow evacuation procedures and the creatures got to them before our rescue teams; we’d like you to retrieve their cameras, to protect their dignity.

Rewards

  • 200 FP

A shipping accident damaged a crate full of Scrappers already marked for sale. Get us these parts so we can repair them before it becomes an issue.

Objectives

  • Deliver 7 Shard Slicers
  • Deliver 5 Zero Systems CPUs

Rewards

  • 200 FP
  • x4 Korolev Scrip
  • x7000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Shard Slicers can be found in Civilian Lockers if we go by the book. But, let’s be honest. In this game, the loot delivery is weird. Sometimes you can find items in the weirdest and least common places on the map. So I’d advise you to keep your eyes peeled and take it slow when looting. The racks in Starpoint Warehouse on Crescent Falls is one of the common spots to check for this item.
  • Zero Systems CPUs can be found in Briefcases and Cabinets. They can also spawn on the ground, usually in High or Extreme Danger zones. They can be an annoying find, so good luck with them.
Good, Honest Work Part 7 Quest Image
Part 7 quest image

Part 7 Dialogue

The Bright Sands Jungle area has an overpopulation problem, maybe you can be the solution?

Objectives

  • Visit the Jungle on Bright Sands
  • Hunt 15 Creatures in the Jungle on Bright Sands

Rewards

  • 50 FP
  • x2 Korolev Scrip
  • x5300 Krypto Marks

Guide

There’s not much to talk about except wishing you good luck on your objective. You can find the Jungle marked in the image below. Just a quick tip. The zone that counts the mobs towards the quest is a lot bigger than just the marked POI below. Even in the south from the Crashed Ship, the Jungle counts in. Have that in mind so you can maximize the killing blows and get all 15 in one run.

Good, Honest Work Part 9 Quest Image
Part 8 quest image

Part 8 Dialogue

Osiris are doing experiments with Meteor Fragments and Focus Crystals. Get us some samples, I want to find out what’s so interesting.

Objectives

  • Deliver 5 Meteor Fragments
  • Deliver 5 Circuit Boards

Rewards

  • 240 FP
  • x6 Korolev Scrip
  • x7700 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Meteor Fragments can be acquired by mining the small Meteorites that periodically fall from the sky. The exact frequency at which the Meteor Shower occurs is unknown. A rough estimate is once per day/storm cycle. That means you will definitely encounter these during your prime time. Care, once it finishes, other players may anticipate the impact too, as the shower can be seen from every place on the map. The Meteor Shower consists of small meteorites and a big one that has a huge impact and concludes the shower with a big bang. You need to mine the small ones, as they are the only ones that give Meteor Fragments. The big one gives a Meteor Core.

  • Circuit Boards can be found in BriefcasesLuggage, and as a static spawn across technologically advanced rooms and areas (racks, decks next to PCs, chairs, etc.).
Good, Honest Work Part 9 Quest Image
Part 9 quest image

Part 9 Dialogue

Marauders are made of something much tougher than Striders. Kill one and bring back some of its remains, for testing.

Objectives

  • Hunt 1 Marauders
  • Deliver 1 Hardened Bone Plates

Rewards

  • 310 FP
  • x8 Korolev Scrip
  • x8500 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Marauders are one of the biggest creatures in this game, besides the Crusher. Marauders are also known as “Jeffs” and they are not so hard to kill. For this quest, I’d advise you to get to the Base Camp on Bright Sands, and kill the one that’s in the middle of the room. They should drop a Hardened Bone Plates upon elimination.

Keep in mind that the guides are a work in progress. If you notice anything out of place, please let us know in the comments below!
