General Quest Dialogue

The new laser cannon is a beast more suited as a military weapon than a mining tool, and requires far more power than any laser drill on Prospect Station has access to.

Make sure Osiris gets what it needs to get it working.

Part 1 quest image

Part 1 Dialogue

It’s time to start testing our new anti-crystal laser, but first, it needs a power source. Retreive Veltecite for me, Prospector, nothing else will do.

Objectives

  • Deliver 5 Pure Veltecite
  • Deliver 10 Clear Veltecite

Rewards

  • 930 FP
  • x35 Osiris Scrip
  • x14000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Pure Veltecite can be mined from Veltecite Veins that can be found around waterfalls or water in general. Modded Mineral Scanner can help you find the nodes easier.
  • Clear Veltecite can be mined from Veltecite Veins that can be found around waterfalls or water in general. Modded Mineral Scanner can help you find the nodes easier.
Everything is Crystals Part 2
Part 2 quest image

Part 2 Dialogue

Yes, this should be sufficient. Focus Crystals have an internal structure similar to that of the cavern walls; retrieve a few samples for us, and some extra lab kit while you’re at it.

Objectives

  • Deliver 2 Portable Lab
  • Deliver 5 Focus Crystals
  • Deliver 8 Sample Containers

Rewards

  • 930 FP
  • x35 Osiris Scrip
  • x14000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Portable Lab can be found in Briefcases and in Medical Areas. I also believe it has a chance to spawn in Cabinets, so make sure you loot them. Reasonably, it should have a slightly higher spawn rate on Crescent Falls. But can also be found in the north area on Bright Sands, such as the Crashed Ship. Sometimes you’ll even find it laying on the ground.
  • Sample Containers can be found in Coolers and Civilian Lockers. They can also be noticed as a static spawn in Medical Areas such as the Waterfall Lab.
  • Focus Crystals can be mined from Focus Veins. The Veins have blue/green sparkles and are easy to distinguish. The color of the Focus Crystals is blue and they are considered to be one of the rarest minerals in the game. The quest might sound simple, but these minerals are located in hellish places on both of the maps. They are the most expensive minerals in the game. While Bright Sands does provide Focus Crystals mining nodes, Crescent Falls is a lot richer in these minerals. On Bright Sands, you will have to keep a tight check in the north of the map, around the Jungle, while on Crescent Falls, the nodes are most common the Oasis.

Part 3 quest image

Part 3 Dialogue

Our laser cannon has proven to be… ‘hazardous’ to test on the station. We’ve developed a small portable version for further tests. Clear out the Pinnacle labs of hostile fauna and stash some Pure Focus Crystals there; a field research team will be down for further tests once you’re done.

Objectives

  • Visit Pinnacle Labs on Crescent Falls
  • Stash 3 Pure Focus Crystals at Pinnacle Labs
  • Hunt 25 Creatures at Pinnacle Labs on Crescent Falls

Rewards

  • 1200 FP
  • x48 Osiris SCRIP
  • x15000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Pinnacle Labs is located in the Northeast of Crescent Falls. You need to eliminate 25 Creatures at that exact spot, and also stash 3 Pure Focus Crystals inside the Dead Drop. For the exact location of the Dead Drop check the image below:

Orbital Repairs is a quest in The Cycle: Frontier. The quest is given by Emmanuel Sullivan Osiris CEO & Lead Researcher. It consists of 4 different parts. All of them are included below.

The Cycle Frontier “Orbital Repairs” Quest Details

Quest image

General Quest Dialogue

Warm up tests on the Orbital Cannon have uncovered a serious accuracy issue that needs to be resolved ASAP. The problem is, the satellite is already in orbit, and recalling it would raise questions about its true purpose.

You’ll need to help Osiris develop a hotfix.

Final Rewards

  • x1 Basilisk

Quest Parts, Objectives & Guides

Orbital Repairs Part 1
Part 1 quest image

Part 1 Dialogue

Target calibration on our satellite is off; it was within acceptable parameters in our original designs, but wasn’t accounted for when we switched to an orbital platform. I’m sending a team down to Pinnacle Labs for telemetry, make sure you have what they need, and clear the area of hostile creatures.

Objectives

  • Stash 2 Gyrocopes at Pinnacle Labs
  • Hunt 25 Creatures at Pinnacle Labs on Crescent Falls

Rewards

  • 2300 FP
  • x117 Osiris Scrip
  • x20000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Gyroscopes can be found in Cabinets. They need to be brought in the raid as this quest is a Dead Drop quest.
  • Hunting 25 Creatures at Pinnacle Labs will require multiple runs on Crescent Falls.
  • This is a Dead Drop quest. The Pinnacle Labs Dead Drop is on the edge of the map. Check the image below for better explanation.
Pinnacle Labs Dead Drop
Pinnacle Labs Dead Drop Location
Orbital Repairs Part 2
Part 2 quest image

Part 2 Dialogue

The ICA has been following up on all our recent ‘weapons’ research on station and gotten curious about the lack of tangible results. Head to the surface and perform some ‘tests’ with Osiris gear on some unwilling participants, it should distract them for long enough to get our satellite fully operational.

Objectives

  • Eliminate 6 Prospectors using an Osiris Weapon.

Rewards

  • 2800 FP
  • x158 Osiris SCRIP
  • x18000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • The quest is pretty straightforward and requires you to eliminate 6 enemy players with an Osiris Weapon.

Eligible Weapons for this quest are:

  • Scarab
  • Manticore
  • Phasic Lancer
  • ASP Flechette Gun
  • Gorgon
  • Basilisk
Orbital Repairs Part 3
Quest Image

Part 3 Dialogue

The worst outcome is of course the most likely. The satellite will need to be modified while in orbit and part of the outer casing replaced. Retrieve these materials, they should be light yet durable enough to do the job.

Objectives

  • Deliver 10 Hardened Bone Plates
  • Deliver 10 Smart Mesh
  • Deliver 20 Salvaged Insulation

Rewards

  • 2800 FP
  • x158 Osiris SCRIP
  • x22000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Hardened Bone Plates can be obtained from dead Marauders. They are both available on Bright Sands and Crescent Falls. Eliminating them is quite hard, so make sure you bring high stopping power with you.
  • Smart Mesh is a rare spawn, and can be located in higher danger zones. Starport Warehouse on Crescent Falls is one of them (on the racks), but Bright Sands also has it, in the Jungle and the Crashed Ship. Can also be found in Industrial Crates and Dumpsters, but also as a static spawn in some industrial areas.
  • Salvaged Insulation can be found in Science Campus and South West Collection Point, including as a static spawn in other industrial areas.
Orbital Repairs Part 4
Part 4 quest image

Part 4 Dialogue

The satellite’s orbit is too low for our technicians to safely operate at due to all the TEF radiation from the planet. We’ll need to construct specialized EVA suits; a mesh made from crusher hide to envelop them might be enough to keep our people safe. For a short while, anyway.

Objectives

  • Deliver 3 Crusher Hides

Rewards

  • 3600 FP
  • x214 Osiris Scrip
  • x24000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Crusher Hides are dropped by Crushers and Alpha Crushers after their elimination. Crushers are the biggest mobs in the game, found on Crescent Falls. Crushers can be found inside Starport Warehouse, north of Starport Warehouse, and on the road between Starport Warehouse and the Pinnacle Labs. Shooting them in the ankles will bring them down on their knees, while their best weak spot is on their back (red color). Below you can find their locations:

The Cycle Frontier “Combat Ready” Quest Details

Quest Image

General Quest Dialogue

Stims aren’t recommended for more than life or death emergencies, sometimes leading to more complications than the initial injury or simply not acting fast enough to make a difference.

Osiris thinks it can fix at least one of those problems, if you can help them find the ingredients they need.

Final Rewards

  • x10 Combat Stim
  • Unlocks the purchase of buying Combat Stims

Quest Parts, Objectives & Guides

Click on Parts to sweep through all of the quest parts.

Part 1 Dialogue

Research into Fortuna III’s biosphere has so much potential, yet there’s so little interest by any other parties! Everyone needs immediate results! Well then, let’s show them results! Get me tissue samples from a Crusher, studying their regenerative properties should allow us to develop even stronger health stims.

Objectives

  • Hunt 1 Crushers
  • Deliver 1 Crusher Flesh

Rewards

  • 2300 FP
  • x117 Osiris Scrip
  • x20000 Krypto Marks

Guide

For this, make sure you pick up the best gun and attachments from your inventory, especially if you’re planning to go in solo. Crescent Falls is a hard map, so tread your path carefully. There are Crushers at Starport Warehouse, just north of it, and one before the west entrance of Pinnacle Labs. Those are big creatures that are willing to charge and throw rocks at you and are buffer than the ordinary Jeffs.

Combat Ready Part 2
Part 2 quest image

Part 2 Dialogue

Excellent work, I imagine the donor didn’t pose too much of a challenge for you. Now, my team will need some additional supplies; here’s a list.

Objectives

  • Deliver 1 Portable Lab
  • Deliver 10 Glowy Brightcap Mushrooms
  • Deliver 5 Medical Supplies

Rewards

  • 2800 FP
  • x158 Osiris SCRIP
  • x22000 Krypto Marks

  • Medical Supplies can spawn in Medical Cases, and Waterfall Labs and Vaccine Labs are decent POIs in that regard.
  • Glowy Brightcap Mushrooms are tricky to get, as they can only be farmed during the storm. The places where you can farm them are around the Swamp and in the Jungle. They share the same spawns with the Brightcap Mushrooms, but they can only be farmed during the 5-minute storm period. To complete this, make sure you carry strong meds with you and heal yourself between each storm tick.
Important: The storm tick can be avoided. As soon as you see the red lightning surrounding you, make sure to get away from it asap. For that reason, keep at least half of your stamina bar when you’re on this quest.
Otherwise, the storm tick comes after the RED lightning strikes the ground. That’s exactly when you should expect the damage tick to occur. The glowy mushrooms are in a slightly different color, check the image below.

Combat Ready Part 3 Quest Image

Part 3 Dialogue

Initial trials have proven to be… disappointing. The near-immediate healing process works flawlessly, as I predicted, but it appears to be excruciatingly painful. Retrieve some Dustblooms for me, Prospector; their analgesic properties should be just what we need. And then you can test the first batch yourself!

Objectives

  • Deliver 8 Dustblooms

Rewards

  • 2800 FP
  • x158 Osiris SCRIP
  • x22000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Dustblooms can be gathered at the Pinnacle Labs and Starport Warehouse on Crescent Falls. Check the image below for more info.

Satellite Master
Quest Image

General Quest Dialogue

Getting what is basically an orbital beam cannon into an orbit around Fortuna III isn’t as easy as it first seemed.

Help Osiris ensure their new satellite gets operational, and make sure the other factions don’t catch wind about what’s going on; whatever is past those cavern walls, only Osiris could fully understand.

Satellite Master Part 1
Part 1 quest image

Part 1 Dialogue

It’s almost time to get our satellite into orbit. Hack into the surface Uplink network, get us all the data we need to keep the satellite on-target.

Objectives

  • Visit Southeast Uplink on Bright Sands
  • Visit North Uplink on Bright Sands
  • Deliver 2 Valuable Data Drives

Rewards

  • 1800 FP
  • x87 Osiris Scrip
  • x18000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • The quest is pretty straightforward, you need to visit both of the Uplinks, and then Deliver 2 Valuable Data Drives. This is of Epic Rarity, so pay attention to which rarity you upgrade your Data Drive.
Data Drives can be purchased from the ICA in their common variant, but are also found at the Comms Base, and then can be upgraded at an in-raid uplink terminal. Each upgrade brings it to a higher-quality variant. Once the station finishes with the download, the Data Drive is upgraded one variant higher. This step is repeatable, and the Data Drives can be upgraded to their highest legendary variants. In this case, make sure you stop at the “Valuable” (Purple) variant. These sorts of stations can be found at the Comms BaseSouth-East Uplink, and North Uplink. The Upgrade stations or Terminals look like this:

Part 2 Dialogue

It’s been brought to my attention that orbital weapons are banned in this system, and that our satellite may be considered a weapon, what with its proven ability to vaporize sever- Well, in any case, I need you to get back into the uplink network, get me data on old colonial satellites still in orbit; we should be able to spoof an ID off one to use for our own project.

Objectives

  • Visit the Starport Landing Pad Uplink on Crescent Falls
  • Visit the Skeleton Observation Uplink on Crescent Falls
  • Deliver 2 Unique Data Drives

Rewards

  • 1800 FP
  • x87 Osiris SCRIP
  • x18000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • The quest is simple as you need to visit only two locations on Crescent Falls. Both the Starport Landing Pad and Skeleton Observation have an Uplink Station. Both of them are marked on the image below:
Starport Landing Pad and Skeleton Observation Uplink

Data Drives can be purchased from the ICA in their common variant, but also found at the Comms Base, and then slotted and upgraded at an in-raid uplink terminal. Each upgrade brings it to a higher-quality variant. Once the station finishes with the download, the Data Drive is upgraded one variant higher. This step is repeatable, and the Data Drives can be upgraded to their highest legendary variants. In this case, make sure you stop at the “Unique(Legendary) variant. These sorts of stations can be found at the Comms BaseSouth-East Uplink, and North Uplink, as well as on in some places on Crescent Falls. The Upgrade stations or Terminals look like this:

Part 3 Dialogue

It appears that tricking the network to accept our satellite as legitimate is a more involved process than I had been lead to believe. A team of specialists will be heading to the surface soon to get the job done, make sure they have the tools they need stashed nearby by the time they arrive.

Objectives

  • Stash 6 Radio Equipment in Server Room
  • Stash 6 Circuit Boards in Server Room
  • Stash 6 Magnetic Field Stabilizers in Server Room

Rewards

  • 2300 FP
  • x117 Osiris SCRIP
  • x20000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Radio Equipment can be found in industrial areas, BinsCabinets, and static spawns across the map.
  • Circuit Boards can be found in BriefcasesLuggage, and as a static spawn across technologically advanced rooms and areas (racks, decks next to PCs, chairs, etc.).
  • Magnetic Field Stabilizers can be found in Dumpsters, but can also spawn as a static spawn in some POIs.
  • This is another Dead Drop quest, which means you will have to bring 6 of each of the aforementioned items in the raid and deposit them at the Server Room Dead Drop. The Server Room Dead Drop is located on Crescent Fields, on the second floor of Starport Admin. You can find more details about it in the image below:

Building a Better Way
Quest Image

General Quest Dialogue

The initial plan to repurpose one of Korolev’s old veltecite mobile drilling platforms fell through, and not just because of Korolev’s uncooperative behavior.

The laser cannon will have to be operated from space; help Osiris fix up an old survey satellite in order to have the cannon fire from low orbit.

Building a Better Way
Part 1 quest image

Part 1 Dialogue

Our recent tests have made it quite apparent our anti-crystal laser cannot be safely operated in atmosphere, unlike Korolev’s crude designs. We’ll need to mount the device on a repurposed low-orbit satellite to operate it. Retrieve these materials, they should improve booster fuel efficiency enough to handle the laser’s mass.

Objectives

  • Deliver 5 Dustblooms
  • Deliver 10 Glowy Brightcap Mushrooms
  • Deliver 10 Magic-Grow Fertilizer

Rewards

  • 1500 FP
  • x64 Osiris Scrip
  • x17000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Dustblooms are purple flowers with an epic rarity. They can be found in the north of Crescent Falls, more precisely around Pinnacle Labs and just north of Starport Warehouse. They can be collected by using your hand gadget. Check the image below:
Dustbloom Flowers Location

  • Magic-Grow Fertilizer can be found around the Woodcutter Camp on Bright Sands. They can spawn in Coolers too.
Building a Better Death Ray Part 2
Part 2 quest image

Part 2 Dialogue

Ah yes, I forgot to mention… we’ve made some adjustments to account for the increased operational range required; get me a Veltecite heart and some samples from storm-charged creatures, it should be enough to take our device to peak performance.

Objectives

  • Deliver 1 Veltecite Hearts
  • Deliver 20 Charged Spinal Bases

Rewards

  • 1500 FP
  • x64 Osiris SCRIP
  • x17000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Veltecite Hearts can be mined from Veltecite Veins usually located around waters. Their drop is extremely low, so if you’re unlucky, try mining it during a Storm, as the Storm increases the drop ratio in most scenarios.
  • Charged Spinal Bases can be found from dead Striders during Storm. Hence, you have to jump in a raid and wait for a while before the Storm arrives. The storm lasts for ~5 minutes.

Part 1 Dialogue

We’re continuing to research better ways to keep prospectors like you alive on the planet, so I’m sure this interests you. Get me these materials and you’ll be among the first to carry our new Strong Medkits.

Objectives

  • Deliver 5 Marauder Flesh
  • Deliver 3 Medical Supplies
  • Deliver 15 Waterweed Filaments

Rewards

  • 930 FP
  • x35 Osiris Scrip
  • x14000 Krypto Marks

Part 2 Dialogue

The chemical properties of Fortuna III’s flora and fauna is truly fascinating… one would expect it to be completely foreign to our own, yet it’s so similar! Oh, right; we still need a few more items, Prospector.

Objectives

  • Deliver 10 Pale Ivy Blossoms
  • Deliver 10 Glowy Brightcap Mushrooms

Rewards

  • 930 FP
  • x35 Osiris SCRIP
  • x14000 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • Pale Ivy Blossoms are flowers that usually spawn on walls and cliffs in overgrown areas, such as the Jungle. They look like this: (click to enlarge).

The glowy mushrooms are in a slightly different color, check below.

General Quest Dialogue

Dr. Fedotov wasn’t impressed with the attempt at using explosives to break into the Crystal Cavern. His solution: a laser.

At least he agrees with Dr. Sullivan on the importance of getting through the cavern’s walls, even if they don’t see eye to eye on much else.

Laser Show Part 1
Part 1 quest image

Part 1 Dialogue

It appears Dr. Fedotov had already conferred with Dr. Farinha about how to break into the Crystal Caverns; it figures the man wouldn’t write anything down and make our lives easy. • 600 FP
  • x19 Osiris Scrip

Part 2 quest image

Part 2 Dialogue

Progress is slower than I’d hoped. Korolev refuses to share schematics for their decommissioned Veltecite Laser Drill platforms, so we’re forced to reinvent the wheel. No matter, an Osiris original will be far better, anyway. Get us these additional materials, Prospector.

The Cycle Frontier “Explosive Delivery” Quest Details

Explosive Delivery quest image
Quest image

General Quest Dialogue

The caverns you found are encased by a crystalline structure, far too strong for any of your weapons to breakthrough. Sullivan believes there’s a connection between them and the Progenitor terraforming tech.

Explosives aren’t the usual Osiris way, but they’re a time-tested cheap way of opening holes in walls.

Explosive Delivery Part 1 quest image
Part 1 quest image

Part 1 Dialogue

The notebook you brought back was most interesting, Prospector. Those Crystal Caverns appear to be made of a something similar to some of the Progenitor materials we’ve analyzed, and no one’s ever managed to get past their walls and see what’s inside. It’s time to change that; get me some old explosives and I’ll have a team blast their way in.

Objectives

  • Deliver 6 Derelict Explosives

Rewards

  • 600 FP
  • x19 Osiris Scrip
  • x11000 Krypto Marks

Guide

Derelict Explosives can be found in Dumpsters, as per the game’s official guidelines. However, it can also spawn in Consumable Boxes and Weapon Crates too.

Part 2 quest image

Part 2 Dialogue

That crystal structure enveloping the caverns is far more resistant than I thought imaginable, the team was barely able to scratch it. I was curious about whether this moment would come… It’s time wake up Dr. Fedotov. He was reportedly an acerbic firebrand in Osiris, and the best materials researcher the world has ever seen. Stayed on the surface to work for as long as possible, then put himself in a cryochamber when it became too late to evacuate safely. Just another problem I inherited when taking this position…

Objectives

  • Find the Frozen Scientist

Rewards

  • 750 FP
  • x26 Osiris SCRIP
  • x10000 Krypto Marks

Guide

The Frozen Scientist is located inside the Pinnacle Labs on Crescent Falls. It’s in the room connected with a tube bridge. For a more precise overview, check the image below:

General Quest Dialogue

Now Dr. Sullivan’s Interest is piqued after you helped uncover forgotten research into the planet’s extinct creatures and their unnatural anatomy.

It seems he’s realizing that the planet’s mysteries won’t unravel themselves without some hands’on “research” from prospectors like you.

Part 2 quest image

Part 2 Dialogue

I’ve been looking into everyone that worked at the Extinct Creatures lab, and it appears Dr. Farinha, its head of the operations, was lost when the ship getting him and his lab equipment off planet crashed. Check the ship’s debris in the Bright Sands’ Jungle, something might have survived the impact.

Objectives

  • Hunt 5 Creatures around the Crashed Ship
  • Enter the Crashed Osiris Freighter
  • Deliver The Flight Recorder

Rewards

  • 380 FP
  • x11 Osiris SCRIP
  • x9400 Krypto Marks

Guide

The quest is pretty straightforward, and it requires you to do three simple tasks. You need to go onto Bright Sands and visit the Jungle. That’s where the Crashed Osiris Freighter is located. Once you get in, find the Flight Recorder, survive and extract. The Flight Recorder is located at the front of the Crashed ship.

Flight Recorder at the front of the Crashed Ship

As for the mobs, if there aren’t any inside or are missing, you can go at the tail of the ship and just pull mobs from there so the eliminations count towards the quest.

Part 3 Dialogue

We’ve received several reports of faulty weapons: jams, low power, misaligned sights… I need you to get me data on our weapons’ performance against real targets. The old Favela in Crescent Falls should be a good test site.

Objectives

  • Visit Favela on Crescent Falls
  • Eliminate 6 Prospectors using an Osiris weapon.

Rewards

  • 380 FP
  • x11 Osiris Scrip
  • x7800 Krypto Marks

Guide

The quest is pretty straightforward. You visit the Favela, the named location on Crescent Falls (the hard map). The Favella is marked in the image below:

Favela map location

The rest is simple, eliminate 6 enemy players by using an Osiris weapon on any map you like. Eligible weapons are:

  • Scarab
  • Manticore
  • Phasic Lancer
  • ASP Flechette Gun
  • Gorgon
  • Basilisk

Part 4 Dialogue

I listened through parts of that crashed ship’s flight recorder, and several conversations caught from the cabin had our man talking about ‘Crystal Caverns’ in relation to his research. Head there and see what you find, collect mineral and bio samples from the area.

Objectives

  • Find the Mysterious Cave Entrance on Crescent Falls
  • Hunt 5 Creatures around the Mysterious Cave Entrance
  • Deliver 10 Clear Veltecite

Rewards

  • 380 FP
  • x11 Osiris Scrip
  • x9400 Krypto Marks

Guide

  • The Mysterious Cave Entrance on Crescent Falls is located just west of Nutrion Farms Processing. The thing is, that’s not even a cave. It’s just like a POI that has a hole in the ground. (check the image below). Once you get there, you need to eliminate 10 creatures of any type.

  • Clear Veltecite can be mined from Veltecite Veins that can be found around waterfalls or water in general. Modded Mineral Scanner can help you find the nodes easier.
Lost Knowledge Part 5 quest image
Part 5 quest image

Part 5 Dialogue

It’ll take some time to run tests on these. In the meantime, it seems Dr. Farinha survived the crash, though he never made it off planet. From what I gathered he might have sought shelter in this area… Head there and search for any more clues on his whereabouts, any research he carried with him would be of great value.

  • Find the Lost Scientist
  • Deliver his Notebook

Rewards

  • 600 FP
  • x19 Osiris Scrip
  • x11000 Krypto Marks

Guide

The lost scientist is located in Favela, named POI on Crescent Falls. The Lost Scientist (dead body) laying on the southeast side of the POI, inside a clinic. The Notebook is next to his corpse. For a better overview, check the image below:
